Dry central Europe; Rain & snow for Scandinavia

Tuesday
An easterly flow across Iberia brings plenty of sunshine to Spain and Portugal, plus warm temperatures to south-western areas, highs 20C. Outbreaks of rain and thunderstorms across the Mediterranean, although southern France and most of mainland Italy will stay dry with sunshine. Some rain for Greece , but the Greek Islands should be dry. Breezy for Turkey. Warm and sunny in Cyprus.
High pressure across central Europe brings dry weather to Alpine regions and most eastern European countries, but cool at 2 to 5C. A westerly flow and a series of fronts extend across northern Europe, bringing mild conditions, but a lot of cloud, and outbreaks of rain or drizzle to northern France and the Low Countries, temperatures 13 to 15C. Some rain for northern Germany and southern Scandinavia. A belt of persistent rain passes east across Sweden, snow over the mountains. Soon brightening up for Norway, but showery in the west. Dry and cold in Finland, although snow spreads from the west into the night. A mix of rain and snow also affects western Poland and the Baltic states.

Wednesday
Plenty of sunshine for Spain and Portugal, and warm again toward Andalucia and the Algarve. Some thundery rain over the western Mediterranean, although most of the islands may escape dry. A fine day for Italy and the Balkans, temperatures 13 to 16C in southern Italy, although chillier inland for south-eastern Europe. Chance of a shower for mainland Greece, whilst the Aegean islands should stay dry, although breezy around western Turkey.
Generally mild, grey and damp across central-northern Europe, as fronts extend across northern France and Germany. Southern France should stay dry and bright. Outbreaks of rain also affect the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, some snow over the Carpathian mountains. A south-westerly pattern brings rain into western Scandinavia, heaviest for western Norway, and arriving in Denmark later. Dry for Sweden. Some snow for Finland, and rather grey, damp and cold around the Baltic states.
