Showery across the Mediterranean

Today
A very unsettled day across the Mediterranean with plenty of heavy showers. A better day to come across Portugal and Spain but showers will be across eastern Spain. Further falls of heavy snow are forecast across Russia, The Baltic States, Belarus, The Ukraine eastern Poland and Romania. Heavy rain is expected across Greece and into the far west of Turkey. Dry across the Adriatic Region, Hungary, Austria and the Czech Republic. Cloudier across Italy with some rain. It's a dry, settled day across France, The Low Counties, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and western parts of Poland. A few wintry showers to come across Finland. A cold north winds persists across eastern Europe.

A strong cell of high pressure dominates western and central parts of Europe. Expect a good deal of dry weather with sunny spells from Portugal and Spain eastward into France, The Low Countries, Denmark and Germany. Cold with outbreaks of snow across Poland, The Ukraine, Russia and Finland. Cold but dry across the Baltic States, Sweden and Norway. Widespread frosts are expected across much of mainland Europe. Dry with sunny spells and the Adriatic Region, Austria, the Czech Republic and Hungary. A better day across Italy with sunny spells but a cold day.
