Heavy showers eastern Mediterranean

Today
It will be less cold across Norway and Sweden as heavy rain spreads in during the day. It does continue very cold across Finland and eastern Europe will snow flurries across Finland. Rain and snow is forecast across the Baltic States with snow across southern Russia and the western Ukraine. Further rain to come across the eastern Ukraine. It will be staying dry across The Adriatic Region and the Balkans with a dry, mostly sunny day. Lots of fine, dry weather as well across Turkey. An area of heavy showers and rain is expected across an area from Italy westward to the eastern coast of Spain. Fine and dry across much of Spain and Portugal with sunny spells. Rain across England spread into the Low Counties and Denmark. A dry day of sunny spells to come across France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic and Poland. Strong north east winds will prevail from the eastern Spanish coast to Sardinia.



Tuesday
A wet day with an area of moderate to heavy rain across England, northern France, The Low Countries into Denmark, northern Germany, Norway and Sweden. This moves into northern parts of Poland in the afternoon. A dry day across southern France, southern Germany and southern Poland. That rain clears Norway and most of Sweden by afternoon. An area of rain, preceded by snow is expected across Finland, the Baltic States and Belarus. Snow is expected across western Russia and eastern parts of the Ukraine. Further heavy showers are forecast from the Balearics eastward into southern Italy. A fine, dry day across northern Italy, the Adriatic Region along with the Balkans but rather cold. Most of Turkey will be dry. Lots of sunshine to come across Portugal and Spain. Strong north east winds will prevail across the western Mediterranean with strong east winds through the Straits of Gibraltar. Windy as well through the Aegean Sea.
