Turning colder in eastern Europe, rain affects eastern Spain

Staying unsettled for Spain and Portugal, with heavy, thundery rain most persistent toward the south-west, but areas of rain also extending to north-eastern areas. Dry across much of Italy, France and the Alps, although a few showers are possible in northern Italy. Thunderstorms affect the Balkan coastline, and spread to mainland Greece. Dry for the Greek islands. Plenty of sunshine for Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary.
Staying dry but chilly across Germany and the Low Countries, temperatures 5C, but some sunshine. Cloudy for southern Germany and the Czech Republic, possible fog. Low pressure centred over Finland brings windy and unsettled conditions to much of Scandinavia. Gales in Norway, and frequent snow showers will spread from the north. Drier in Sweden, and relatively mild in the south at 8C. Showers will affect the Baltic states.

Sunday
Cloud and rain in the east and south of Spain. Fair to the north and west of Spain and Portugal with good spells of sunshine. Wet in the Balearics but generally dry for most of Italy, although with some showers in the east. Some rain affecting western Greece but dry in the east and through Turkey.
Breezy and cooler for France and dry here with some bright spells developing. A dry day to come in the Low Countries and Germany and turning cold here. Breezy and cold for Poland with some showers in the north and east. Austria, Hungary and Switzerland should be dry with sunny spells.
Breezy for Denmark with sunny spells throughout. A cld plunge of air brings snow showers to the Baltic States and the threat of more persistent snow for Finland. The snow showers affecting much of eastern Sweden. Chillier for Norway but mostly dry here.
