Heavy rain across SE Europe

Today
Showers will again affect northern parts of Spain the south along with Portugal staying dry with sunny spells. Still quite chilly across Iberia today. The south of France will also stay fine and dry while rain and showers are likely across northern and central parts of France along with Belgium and Holland. Rain and snow showers are expected across Germany with snow showers across Denmark. An area of heavy snow is forecast for Sweden, Finland and the Baltic States. During the day an area of heavy rain spreads up into central parts of the Mediterranean into the far south of Italy. More heavy snow to come across the Alps with snow across Austria. A few showers to affect the Adriatic Region. Much of the Balkans will be dry with sunny spells as will Turkey and The Ukraine. Rain is expected across southern Russia with snow in the north. A wet, cold day with rain across Belarus and northern parts of Poland. South westerly gales will prevail across the Aegean into the Black Sea. Very windy as well south of Italy.

Temperatures will remain below freezing today across Scandinavia, the Baltic States and northern Russia with the warmest weather across Greece and western parts of Turkey. Heavy rain spreads into England. It continues very chilly but dry with sunny spells across Portugal and Spain. Mainly dry across France. A few showers to affect Belgium, Holland and Denmark and may be wintry. Cold across Germany with snow showers. Snow is expected across the Alps into Austria and the Czech Republic. Fair and dry across Poland, Hungary and Romania. Outbreaks of heavy rain are expected across the Adriatic Region into Greece and Italy. Heavy, prolonged showers to come from the Balearics eastward to Sicily. Fine and dry across Turkey with sunny spells. Rain will affect eastern parts of the Ukraine with a cold day with snow expected across Sweden, Finland, The Baltic States into northern Russia. A windy day across the Mediterranean into the Aegean and Black Seas.
