Wind and rain around the Low Countries
Hot, sunny and dry across Spain and Portugal, widely into the upper 30s Celsius across southern Iberia. Patchy cloud and rain may drift into the far northwest of Spain. Dry and warm for southern France and much of Italy, whilst the heat goes on the southeast of Europe, topping 40C again on mainland Greece.
Breezy and showery for northern France, plus patchy rain toward the east in the morning. A wet day for much of Germany, drier toward the northeast. Thundery rain extending across Austria into Hungary, Slovakia and Romania. Severe thunderstorms later extend into southern Poland and western Ukraine. Quite cool for Alpine regions.
Northern Poland, the Baltic states and Denmark should stay largely dry with some warm sun. A mostly fine day for Norway, Sweden and Finland, but one or two heavy showers forming over the mountains. Low 20s Celsius around the Baltic.
Hot and dry again across Spain and Portugal. Dry weather extends across much of France, plus Italy, Greece and across the Mediterranean with extensive sunshine. Staying hot in southeast Europe, although temperatures easing off compared to recent days.
Southwesterly winds bring showers or longer spells of rain to northern France, the Low Countries and western Germany. A few showers for the Alps. Remnants of thunderstorms continue to rumble across eastern Europe, focused on Ukraine and Belarus, also eastern Poland in the morning. Quite warm for eastern Germany and western Poland where the day will be mainly dry.
High pressure over northern Russia and Finland brings mainly fair weather to Baltic regions, although storms may affect southern Baltic states inland. Brisk winds and patchy rain for southern Norway. Rain is likely to set in for Denmark.
