Fine across the Mediterranean

Today
Sunny and very hot across Portugal, and Spain, and very warm across much of the Mediterranean and eastern Europe. Showers are forecast across France, Belgium, Denmark and Holland. Plenty of heavy showers with a risk of thunder to affect the Alpine Region and Germany and western parts of Poland. A few heavy showers to come later in the day across Italy, The Adriatic Region, The Czech Republic and Austria. Hot and sunny across Greece, Bulgaria, Turkey, Romania and the Ukraine. A number of heavy showers and thunderstorms are forecast across northern parts of Russia, The Baltic States into Finland, Sweden and Norway. Strong north to north west winds will affect the Aegean Sea.

Monday
It continues very, dry and sunny across Spain and Portugal and also into France. Scattered, heavy showers develop across The Low Countries and northern parts of Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the Adriatic Region. It remains sunny and hot across Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania and most of the Ukraine. Across Italy it will be very warm and sunny with a risk of a few late thundery showers. Most of Poland will again be sunny and dry apart from a few coastal showers in the east. Heavy, thundery showers are again likely across The Baltic States, northern Russia, Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark. Brisk north west winds persist across the Aegean Sea.
