Warm and sunny for southern Europe; showers and outbreaks of rain in the north
Hot, dry and sunny for Portugal, Spain, the Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia on Thursday. A few showers developing perhaps through the afternoon for Corsica and Sardinia. Showers too, some of them heavy, for central and southern parts of Italy. Dry and brighter to the north. Dry, hot and sunny for Greece and Turkey.
A bit of cloud around for France on Thursday with some scattered showers for northern parts of the country. Cloudy with some scattered showers too for the Low Countries and Germany. Showers more frequent in northwestern Germany, drier to the south and east. Good sunny spells and a few scattered showers for Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic and Hungary.
Breezy in Denmark with rain first thing followed by showers through the afternoon. Heavy rain first thing for southeastern Norway which will move across southern and central Sweden through the day and eventually into western Finland. Good sunny spells ahead of the rain to the east while wintry showers will follow for western parts of Norway.
Continuing hot, dry and sunny for Portugal, Spain and the Balearics. Warm too for Corsica, Sardinia and Italy where it will be mostly dry. A few showers flaring up for western Italy through the afternoon. Hot and dry too for Greece and Turkey with the odd shower for western Greece at times.
Dry and mostly sunny for France and the Low Countries with high cloud occasionally turning the sun hazy. A few showers for northern Germany and Austria through the day but elsewhere across central Europe it will be dry and fair.
Cloudy with showers for Denmark and the Baltic States. A few sunny spells developing later. Rain clearing Finland through the morning to leave a dry and sunny day. Sunny and mostly dry too for southern and central parts of Norway and Sweden. A few scattered showers to the north.
