Very warm and settled conditions continue to prevail across the Mediterranean

Saturday
A very warm, dry and sunny day for much of Portugal and Spain and for the Balearic Islands. Cloud building into northern parts of Spain will bring occasional showers to coastal areas. Occasional showers too developing over Italy's Apennines though these should be fairly light and isolated. Elsewhere across Italy and for Greece and Turkey, it's a very warm, sunny and dry day.
A mostly dry day for France, Switzerland and the Low Countries with cloud building over northern areas through the day. Staying brighter to the south. Sunny spells with outbreaks of showers, some heavy and thundery, over much of Germany, the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary and southern and eastern parts of Poland. Drier and bright for western Poland.
A few showers for Denmark and the Baltic States on Saturday. These may merge to give longer spells of rain for Lithuania. Isolated showers too affecting central and southern parts of Sweden, southern Norway and eastern Finland. Elsewhere should be dry and bright.

Sunday
Another dry, hot and sunny day across much of southern Europe. Plenty of sunshine for Portugal, Spain, the Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia. Afternoon thunderstorms affecting southern portions of Italy, these locally heavy, but staying dry and very warm to the north. Continuing dry, hot and sunny for much of Greece and Turkey though northern coastal regions of Turkey could see some isolated showers.
Cloud increasing over northwestern parts of mainland Europe on Sunday but staying mostly dry for much of France, Benelux, Germany and Switzerland. Light scattered showers at times affecting northern France, the Low Countries and southeastern Germany. Brighter for Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland with showers developing here through the afternoon.
A dry but overcast day for Denmark on Sunday while light, showery rain will affect eastern and southern regions of the Baltic States. Heavy showers affecting southern Norway and southern and central portions of Sweden while much of Finland should remain dry but cloudy. Brighter over northern and central parts of Norway and northern Sweden.
