Showers to the south, fair in central Europe


Sunday
A dry and fine start for Portugal and Spain though a band of heavy rain arrives to the northwest and clusters of thunderstorms develop through the afternoon - these mainly focussed over eastern Spain. Early showers tend to ease for Italy to leave a dry and bright day here while outbreaks of rain, some heavy and thundery, spread from the north across Greece and Turkey.
Some showery outbreaks of rain affect northwestern part of France while thundery showers may affect southern areas later. Otherwise dry and fine for much of the country. Dry and fine for the Low Countries with the slight chance of an isolated shower or two developing. Dry but cloudy for western parts of Germany; dry and bright to the east and for Poland, Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia too.
Cloudy but mostly dry for Denmark with occasional showers to the northwest. Dry and fine for the Baltic States. A dry and fine start for Finland though a band of sleet and snow arrives from the west later. Showery outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow affect central and northern parts of Sweden as well as much of Norway. Drier for southern Sweden.

Monday
Rain affecting much of central and eastern Spain. Portugal should be fair with sunny spells, staying dry. Rain in the Balearics, this slipping into southern France. Corsica and Sardinia as well as Italy should be dry with sunny spells after morning mist clears. Greece will be dry with sunny spells, although some rain in the south. Windy in Turkey with rain in eastern areas.
France will be dry with sunny spells, apart from in the far south. The Low Countries should be bright with some sunshine. Northern Germany is likely to be dry too, but rain affects central areas. Poland will have rain to the north, but it should be dry in the south. Fair and sunny in Hungary, Austria and Switzerland.
Denmark will have a bright day with sunny spells. Some cloud and rain trouble the Baltic States, with heavier rain in Finland. Sweden should be dry with some spells of sunshine. Fair too in Norway, although some rain to the north.
