Heavy rain through southern Italy by the end of the week

Thursday
More wind and rain plus mountain snow moves into northern Iberia, but southern Spain and Portugal should be largely dry. Risk of showers for the Balearics. Low pressure over the central Mediterranean brings further downpours to Corsica, Sardinia and Sicily. Heavy rain and hill snow for Italy, showery in the south. Rain and snow for the Balkans and western Greece too. Warm southerly winds for Turkey and the Greek islands.
Windy for the Alps and southern France, but mainly dry for Switzerland and Austria. Rain moves into western France. Scattered showers in northern France and Belgium, but more frequent wintry showers for the Netherlands. Mostly dry through Germany, Czechia and western Poland, but some more snow and rain in the east.
Snow becomes confined to the east of Finland, leaving Baltic regions drier and brighter but chilly. A few showers in Denmark the far west of Norway, otherwise plenty of dry weather for Scandinavia.

Friday
Variable cloud cover and patchy rain across Spain and Portugal though most places should be dry. A few scattered showers affecting the Balearics though most will be dry here too. Unsettled across southern Italy with blustery, high winds and outbreaks of rain, heavy in the far south as well as across Sicily. Much of the rain and showers clearing Greece though unsettled with heavy showers across the Turkish resorts.
Many dry across France though some scattered showers through far eastern areas and across the northwest. Windier across the Alps with some scattered snow showers. Rain moving in to the Low Countries. Largely dry through Germany with sunny spells though the far south is cloudier with some patchy rain. Heavy rain moving in to the far southeast of Poland, otherwise dry here.
Largely dry through Scandinavia though still some snow flurries over western regions of Norway as well as across parts of southern Sweden. Largely dry and fine though still cold through Denmark and the Baltic region.
