Heavy snow developing for the Alps

Sunday
High pressure centred around the Bay of Biscay brings fair weather to most of Iberia - warmest temperatures in the south-west of Spain and Portugal, around 15C. A cool northerly breeze for southern France and the western Med. A few showers for Italy, whilst the Balkans may see more frequent rain, or snow in the mountains. A zone of heavy rain affects parts of Greece and Black Sea coasts.
Fairly quiet weather but cool across north-central Europe. Patchy snow for the Alps and southern Germany. Chilly in Poland, staying close to freezing. Cold too across Scandinavia, but largely dry. Some snow in north-west Norway.

Monday
A period of rain preceded by snow moves into central Europe from the north-west. Heavy snow may affect the Alps most of the day. Strong and gusty winds in the early hours for the Low Countries and Germany. High pressure remains in charge for Spain and Portugal, bringing a fine day. Much of the Mediterranean will be dry, although local showers are possible. Rain and mountain snow for southern France, whilst skies brighten from the north. Unsettled around Greece and the Black Sea. Quiet weather for eastern Europe. Chilly with frost and fog for Poland and southern Scandinavia. Overnight rain and snow for western Norway. Southwesterly winds bring a lift in temperature for northern Norway.
