Cool across eastern & western Europe with frequent showers; dry & sunny in Iberia
Saturday should be a sunny and mostly dry day for Portugal, Spain and the Balearics. It will be a rather wet day for southern Italy with some heavy bursts of rain at times. This should clear through the evening to leave a dry and bright end to the day. Showery in the north of Italy and for Corsica and Sardinia too. Periods of rain and scattered showers affecting Greece throughout the day, these reaching western Turkey through the afternoon too.
A band of heavy rain will edge southward across France through the day on Saturday. It will be brighter behind this, to the north, with some scattered showers. A mixture of rain and showers will also work their way from north to south across the Low Countries and Germany with some heavy bursts at times. Showers will turn to more persistent rain and snow over Switzerland and Austria. A showery day for Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary.
A mixture of scattered showers and sunny spells for Denmark and the Baltic States. Norway, Sweden and Finland will see a mixture of good sunny spells and scattered wintry showers.
Sunday continues mostly dry and bright for Spain and Portugal. Any early showers over the Balearics should quickly clear to leave a sunny day here too. Showers again affecting Corsica and Sardinia while there will be some heavy bursts of rain for the northern half of Italy and the Balkans. Showers through the day for Greece and Turkey, some of which will be heavy, but these should clear by the evening.
A mostly bright day for France with some scattered showers in the northeast which will also affect Benelux. Bright with scattered showers too for Germany, most of these concentrated in the northwest. A rather wet day for Switzerland and Austria with further snowfall over the Alps. A wet day too for Slovakia, Hungary and southern Poland. Drier for northern Poland but rather cloudy.
Bright with some showers later for Denmark. Mostly bright too for Norway, Sweden and Finland though there will be some isolated scattered showers which may be wintry in nature.
